I was wondering if the LP or SP had a hold function?

The gate cv in can hold a note. Either a footswitch or a dumby plug inserted in the gate.

Yes, latching you would press to hold, press again to release; momentary/non-latching the note is held as long as your foot is on the switch and releases when youb take your foot off.

To experiment if you don’t have a footswitch, plug a short mono cable in the gate to hold the note and pull it out or use something to conduct between the tip and the sleeve at the free end of the cable to release.
