hiss for stage II

hello
i ve heard a few about the kind of “analog hiss” the LP can generate, and they have improve the problem with version update i think… but really for me i think i have a real bug with my device…
can you look this link at the bottom and tell me if it is accecptable from a spectrum analyser (no sound is play only the noise of the LP without stiking any note)
thanks

Without any scale indicated on the axes it’s really impossible to say. That signal as shown could be massively loud or it could be inaudibly minute. If you can provide a plot with the frequency and amplitude domains both clearly labeled then someone might be able to answer.

Does this happen with every patch?

And what happens if you turn off the EG Matrix?

That’s what I was wondering. If you’ve read up (or experienced yourself) the EG can have quite an effect on the ‘noise’ of certain patches yet be completely hidden from others.

Funny somewhat related story. There’s a comparison of the Apogee Duet Audio Interface against a Focusrite Saffire 24 Pro and on some of the test (one that uses a Little Phatty), the notation of the test/outcome is that the Saffire (which is generally not as highly regarded as the Duet) is ‘quieter’ on the LP tests. I wonder if the LP doesn’t have EG set to off and the hiss (as you called it) is being detected by the Apogee due to higher sample rate and higher quality Mic pre amps.
