I wish I live on the east coast !!!
Happy Bday (super early) Herb !!!
Nick I will relay the message to Herb. I met you at moogfest # 2 with Herb, you were GREAT!!! Jack Hotop from that same show will perform at Herbs Birthday fest. They have known each other for a long time.I will see Herb on April 24th, I guest lecture at his electronic music class at Hofstra University. Its a great class. Its called Back To The Future comparing Herbs Mini Moog to my Voyager. Neil Alexander will be there with me. He has a Great band called nail and he used to be the keyboard player for the Pink Floyd Tribute Band The Machine up until last sept. Here’s pictures of Herb’s class from last year. One has him playing the Voyager. See link http://pdogrecords.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=7
Little update; Herb picked up a LITTLE PHATTY from the Moog Rep this week in Huntington along with some other Moog fun stuff for use in show on the 29th of this month. WAY TO GO MOOG !! Thanks for supporting your product and the people who where there from the beginning. By the way the rehearsals were killer. Theres nothing like 3 to 4 moogs being played by great keyboard players at the same time!
Hey Kids!
Neil Alexander here, from NAIL (and previously The Machine). I just wanted to drop by to plug this concert. This is a true piece of Synthesizer history going on right before our eyes. The stage is going to be practically covered in keyboards. Some surprises include live Switched on Bach, Virtuoso Theremin Performances by Darryl Kubian, and Jack Hotop (senior programmer for Korg) doing his killer solo synth piece (from Moogfest).
Don’t want to give away too much, but it’s really going to be an incredible evening of modern electronic music. I hope you can all make it.
Special thanks to the folks at Moog for donating the equipment!
Your friend in sound,
Neil Alexander
