Help...with the ending of Tom Sawyer Lead

Hi, this is a basic question(I’m sorry) but I have already “dialed up” the preset sound for Rush’s Tom Sawyer Lead. What I need help in is that at the end of the lead, there is that distorted glide type of sound. How do I get that sound at the end? I tried to adjust the glide & to turn knobs but haven’t found it yet. Please help. Thanks

hard sync

hard sync? not on a mini…
I think he’s referring to the modulation Geddy adds at the end; a medium speed LFO rate affecting the pitch/filter- he hits the last note and then cranks up his mod wheel and leaves it as the modded note fades out-

Not sure what he is talking about either

I was referring to that “feedback” effect where a tone an octave higher blends in as the lead fades out

That sound was a product of phase cancellation of two detuned VCOs on a minimoog

You can get that sound using hard sync on a Voyager (did the same trick on a Memorymoog back in my gigging days)

ah ha! cool!
I guess it depends on what part he’s referring to-
