I have midi parts recorded into pro tools that I am trying to send to the phatty but for the life of me cannot get the audio back to pro tools. Can somebody walk me through the correct midi settings in the phatty and the correct daw channel I/O’s?
If you plug in headpohnes in you Phatty, does it play?
(=notes are recieved)
If so, the problem is the audio back to you computer.
If not, start with the midi issue.
Yes, I can hear the midi through the headphones on the phatty.
Any advice on setting up the audio return? I’ve basically never used midi before and wasnt sure on the internal settings within phatty. Im using USB

ok i got a step further.
I can only get sound when i “record” back into pro tools, but not as playback without recording. is this how it should be?
I don’t know how Pro Tools works, but this is obviously a daw-question and not a midi- or phatty-question.
Maybe someone else here knows PT or if you can find a PT-forum somewhere.
Are you saying you only hear the phatty when the track is armed for recording? If so I think this is normal (depending on your interface, direct monitoring…). I use Sonar, and I can hear audio without the track armed, but I get no meters until I arm for recording.
