Hello,
I have a dead Prodigy here. I began checking voltages and so far, I at least am getting 12 volts coming out of the power supply.
I have a schematic (rather blurry but I can read it). I’m not exactly sure where to beging looking for voltages that don’t match what the schematic shows.
There is NO sound output at all. No static, clicks, noise, etc. The power light comes on.
I’m assuming that something is wrong with the VCA section but I’m not sure. Can anyone point me in the right direction and show what to look for next? Perhaps a simple test sequence that I can follow in order to isolate the problem?
Thanks very much is advance,
Edison
Hello,
I don’t have a Prodigy schematic, so I’m not sure where you’re checking for voltages however, if they are o.k, it sounds like your problem may be in the
audio path. If this is the case, you need a scope to grab the signal. You’d begin at the output and work backward thru the stages.

Hello,
Before checking your audio, you may also want to see if your keyboard cv
is there, the last post assumes you’ve checked for this.

This is the very minimal service manual and schematic Iv’e been using.

I found a link to another one but the page won’t load. Hopefully, its just a minor server glitch and I’ll be able to check the other schematic out.
Thanks,
Edison
