I just bought a second hand Moog Voyager… It was like new…
After some experimentation. I noticed the release time of the amp. envelope. Does not get to 10 seconds. It is much too short. I have been reading the manual and didn’t find anything about it.
I don’t really understand the knob release on the Mod wheels. It turns on and off in the display. But no change in release time. I don’t even know if it has even something to do with it. I tried a lot of things now. And I start to get desperate that I bought a Moog Voyager with a malfunction. I have been saving money for two years to buy a second hand because I wanted one for a very long time.
I hope there is an explanation for it. Otherwise I have been seriously screwed
The release switch is a performance feature that allows you to override the release knob setting.
If you want a long release, make sure that the release switch is on (if you have an rme that’s done in the software) and set the EG release knob to 10.
You are not re-triggering the EG by hitting another note ?
… and keep in mind, that with the release switch turned off, the amp just turns off when you release the key(s), however the envelope generators continue to go through their release phase!
If you press another key while the envelope is still in release phase, the attack will not start from zero but from his current value. If you want the egs to have zero release time, you have to turn the release knobs counterclockwise.
