I assembled my theremin, and plugged it into my amp… there is no sound coming out. There is a bit of feedback from the theremin when I turn on the power, but nothing that it actually pitch or volume. I checked and double checked my connections- and everything seems to be assembled correctly. I am going to call Moog int he morning, but wondered if anyone had any suggestions? Or know of anything I might of accidentally screwed up during assembly? Thanks… this is kind of depressing me due to the fact I have been wanting this for some time now…
it could be that the circut has drifted out of tune, mine did this recently and (as i got the non-kit one so i wouldn’t have to fart around with the board) i was really pissed off because i had to fart around with the board to get it to work/play properly again. Look at the section tuning the pitch circut (or something like that) in the manual/hotrodding manual/? Also, you should have got a red bit of plastic that you will need to tune it (i nearly cried when i realised i needed that red thing that i didn’t know what it was and probably threw it out, but haroo i didn’t throw it out)
Good luck anyway, sucks that it didn’t work first off, same thing happend to me with a cheap dick smith kit (which is why i bought the non-kit etherwave) shouldn’t have happend on the moog though.
nope, no peice of red plastic came with it… But on the plus side, I did get it working… just a little tweak, and all is GREAT!!!
