HELP! Need Moog Liberation repair in SoCal

:frowning: I was thrilled when I won a white Moog Liberation on eBay–I love it, love it, love it…except that the musician who sold it to me hasn’t been able to get his buddy to finish cleaning it. (His buddy is touring and very busy). That means I’m left with several G-sharp and A keys that simply don’t work—and it also seems to go through episodes where it phases in and out of tune, making strange whistling sounds.
But I’m not willing to give up! Aside from the fact that I posed with my Liberation for my latest book jacket, I want to feel good playing it, too. I’m not expecting it to be perfect–I know its touring days are behind it–but if I could find someone who knows enough about Moogs to get those keys cleaned for me, I’d be ecstatic. Willing to pay, of course.
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA a necessity. The Liberation can’t travel.
Help!

You need to take/ship it to Advanced Musical Electronics on 8665 Venice Blvd in Los Angeles. They will require a $90.00 deposit since it’s vintage that will apply to repairs. You can pay an extra $35.00 to have it done in 1 week, otherwise it will take 5-6 weeks. They offer a 90 day warranty and can fix anything. They have a website and the phone number’s on it:

I have a Matrix 6R in there now.

THANKS SO MUCH!
I live forty minutes from L.A., so I can just drive it over. Never would have heard of them! If all works out well, I will be singing their praises. I’ll pass on that word to my musician friend, too–he wanted a Moog repaired for a concert some time back.
I love the Internet!
