Nice to see that the HC11 is still relevant and still being taught in college.

I’m in the design phase of an ambitious upc project. I picked up a barely working Oberheim OB-SX, no MIDI interface available anywhere. The six voicecards work and happen to sound awesome. Seeing they sounded too good to be relegated to a preset instrument, I am looking into building a new control system implementing remote MIDI editing for the voicecards and shove it all into a rack package.

I’m still in the decision stage for a upc and the HC11 is a strong contender.

MC, have you seen the MIDIBox project?

The current “core” uses PIC18Fs, but a new solution is being developed with the STM32.

The firmware is mostly done for you; a good thing, right? :wink:
