…Wouldn’t it be great if you could create presets on your moogerfooger pedals? That is what the Automator Junior is all about. For instance you can foot-switch between two delay times, two phaser rates, depths etc…
First connect the Automator Jr. to any of the expression pedal/control voltage jacks on the moog pedal for the function you wish to control. Now simply set the lower value on the moog pedal (longer delay time, slower rate etc…) and the higher value on the Automator Jr. The foot-switch selects between the value set on the pedal and the value set on the automator. You can use as many Automator Jr. units as there are expression pedal control voltage inputs so you may want to get more than one.
The Automator Jr. has a much wider sweep than a typical volume pedal. It is possible to access extreme setting that aren’t possible with the built in controls in some cases. (watch those tweeters kids). For instance when using the ring modulator it is possible to go from the tremolo sound (amplitude modulation) to the ring modulation sound which would normally require you to flip the rate switch.
Once you have tried it you won’t want to use your moog pedals without it.
This is a custom controller pedal I designed for use with moog and moogerfooger pedals
these are great. very handy. I use it alot on the feedback jack on the delay or sometimes the resonance jack on my lpf. I made something like this with a stereo jack, spdt switch, one pot, and some cheap box I found at a thrift store.
Great idea!
depends where the sweet spot is…you can add resistors in series on both sides of the pot (wiper and one end) if the sweet spot is somewhere in the middle
think i’ll make myself a whole board with like 10 jacks, pots and momentary spds-switches! i would be able to play it like a taurus!
could i connect 4 of those switches to for instance the freq.amount?
uhhm, could be me being dutch but what’s a latching switch? a normal one?
in that case putting both in the circuit would be nice yes, but when using your feet it could be a hassle to stomp the right one. well, could be figured out.
like for instance left foot the normal spdt’s and on the right the momentary.
Does anyone know where I can buy one of these? I want to use it to turn the LFO Amount of my ring mod from full on to full off but don’t need all the space and effort of an expression pedal. If anyone knows where I can buy one or has one for sale I am interested.
