Yes, i second that! Please bring more of the deliciousness Moog has bestowed upon the Sub37 back to the worthy ancestor: the Sub Phatty!
And now for the obvious question @Amos: whatās the ETA on the new firmware?
Has anyone heard if The Sub Phatty will be able to polychain with Voyager and also Minitaur. One would hope an update to the Sub Phatty could make this possible
Cāmon Amos you can do it !!!
2 months laterā¦
still N O S I GN , no nothing
its at least FIVE MONTHS since Amos said they had a beefed up the software team
this really sucksā¦how difficult can it be to get a working VST for the moog sub37???
why does SUB37 hAVE priority over all other moog products???
AMOS??!!!
AMOS
PLEASE SORT THIS OUT
NO MORE EXCUSES!!
JUST SORT IT OUT!!
THANKS
Yes Amos, you have been stringing us along for a very very long time, perhaps you should offer all Sub Phatty owners a free upgrade to Sub 37 so we have something that works properly (does it work properly now???). Iāve had a sub functional ( Sub Skinny perhaps?) Sub Phatty for some time, no support (tried hard, multiple emails starting 11 months ago with one useless email back with links to the 2013 firmware saying In needed to update to that when I was on the latest beta already, an apology for sending the wrong links and then no more contact. Eventually I gave up) so have been waiting for the promised update in the hope it would clear the issues Iāve had, allow me to use the software editor etc.

viewtopic.php?f=7&t=23028&hilit=sub+phatty+update#p140476 - 13 months ago⦠āYes there will be a Sub Phatty update. we were just talking about that in yesterdayās engineering meeting. The details are not firm enough to announce (meaning the timing, and exactly what will be updated) but at least a small update is guaranteed before too long.

The latest promise in this thread and still nothing⦠I was so excited to get my first Moog and from about day 3 of owning it that feeling was gone ![]()
Just an honest estimate of time or an honest admission itās never going to happen, pleaseā¦
What makes your sub phatty sub-functional? What issues are you experiencing?
Iāve been wondering the exact same thing.
I donāt need to see another thread or post about the same thing from āgertieā to keep my blood pressure from getting any higher.
Tbh, as an Elektron owner Iāve seen loads of this same thing online over the past 18 months - nothing majorly wrong with the machines, but people just want more, more, more. Anyway, mega update to the Analog Rytm landed today ⦠which just goes to show that good things come to those who wait. Not sure what it is about premium electronic instruments that gets people freaking out like this.
hey ebonerā¦a little tip - take some tablets for your high blood pressure

Thanks, I will heed to your expert advice. As for your all of your relentless posts, youāve mentioned why your synth is apparently unusable. Would you care to enlighten us all?
Hi all,
I think Iāve mentioned on some other threads that we are working on firmware and editor updates for Minitaur and Sub Phatty, to begin immediately after the Sub 37 Editor was released.
Iām happy to report that this is happening now. We are preparing to start a beta test for new Sub Phatty firmware very soon, probably in the coming week. Updates to the Sub Phatty editor will take more time, but the firmware update will already help Windows users to get more functionality out of the existing Sub Phatty editor plug-in.
Minitaur is also due for the same treatment, although our small team size necessarily means we must work on them one after the other.
I completely understand and sympathize with the frustration Iāve seen in this thread. Moog is a growing company, for which I am very glad⦠but this long interval between updates for existing products has been a symptom of growing pains. We have never lost sight of the goal of supporting these instruments to the highest standard, and we will now work faithfully to bring them up to date.
Thanks again for your patience, and feel free to email me (amos at moogmusic dot com) if youād like to test new Sub Phatty firmware in the near future.
Kind regards,
Amos
