Bob Moog honored all day on his birthday!!! Google did it. I am honored as I love his simple invention.
I think Bob would have really liked Google’s synth.
Thanks Google!!!
My happiest day. At 3PM synth pepes from Ohio will rock in the Rock N Roll Capital of the World. Cleveland Rocks.
When is Google going to come out with a polysynth?
I don’t think they will, seeing as how Bob was never involved in designing Moog polysynths. ![]()
Does anyone know when Dave Luce’s birthday is, so we can look forward to a Google Polymoog?

I hate that dog. On topic, that Google D is really awesome. I got some wicked sounds out of it. ![]()
That little Moogle synth is better than it has any right to be!
at last , never too much honour for this nice man !
The sad part is that they probably think it is pronounced like Google, and they call it the “goog”.
It would be even funnier if they had to answer a million times, “it rhymes with Rogue.”
Happy birthday Bob!!

now that is funny!!
I have been jamming out with the glass armonica and the minigoog. Can’t wait to get my own blown so I can run it through moogerfoogers.
Awesome Google Doodle. Best yet I think!
My little thanks and respect to ole’ Bob - http://www.sheponbass.co.uk/blog/happy-birthday-bob.html
The legend about those armonicas is that they make you insane. There was this famous blower Gerhard Finkenbeiner, disappeared in his plane in 1999 and it was never recovered.
Are you really going to get one made? They were super expensive last time I checked. When I ckecked them out 10 years ago, they cost 3K just to MAKE, then they usually sold for 7-10k.
Keep me posted.
I have always wanted one. I saw a documentary once about it, and the glass company who blows them is right here in Oakland, CA. So once I get the cash, I am going to try and get one blown, ideally with different colored glass for each bowl. The rest (woodwork, loom) should be pretty easy to construct. I want to go insane!
my favorite aspect of the day is the overload of folks that know me/barely know me sending me texts/emailing/fbooking/phone calls about the crazy Goog and how they first thought of me! to be so associated with such a thing as a Moog makes my soul swell!
I’ve been pelted with FB messages, messages from toysoldiersunite.com, even messages from my family! The consensus is this: “Is this how your synthesizer works?” ![]()
