GarageBand midi question

hey all,

I use GarageBand to make demos with my Lp. I want to sync the arpeggiator to GarageBand’s metronome but I don’t know how to send a clock signal from gb to my little phatty. I have a midi-USB interface. Is this possible or do I need to buy logic?

I USE GARAGE BAND AND IT IS NO POSSIBLE TO SEND A MIDI CLOCK TO AN EXTERNAL SYNTH.

is this a feature in logic express? I plan on eventually getting logic pro, which i know can do it.
