full range filter sweep using envelope?

how can I do a full range (20hz-12000hz) filter sweep using the filter envelope?
“amount to filter” at +5 only seems to cover halve the range of the filter cutoff.
I can use the modultaion bus (s:on d:filt sh:filt a:4) to improve the audible range a bit but I end up adding increasing the lowest cutoff frequency.

In conjunction with the envelope amount, use the modulation buss - source to ON, destination to FILTER, shaping to FILT ENV. Yes it bumps the filtet cutoff, just back it down (unless it is already at min).

The other technique is to use the VX351 to route filter envelope back to the filter input on the rear panel of the Vger.

thx voor the input.
the modulation bus doesn’t help, it doesn’t increase the filter envelope range, it just bumps the filter cutoff up like you said.

How can the VX351 be of help here? It doesn’t increase the CV range of the filter envelope output. I don’t have a VX351 but I expect the same results as using the internal patch.

I would think that a filter envelope that cannot control the full cutoff frequency range is an unnecessary limitation. There must be a way around this, no?

I suppose you could attenuate (amplify) the envelope signal to give more of a sweep.
