FS-1 Footswitch as a permanent switch

Is it possible to set up/modify the FS-1 Footswitch as a permanent switch?
Mine works as a momentary switch, but I like it to be permanent to switch on/off a Space Echo.

Joke aside, I think that can be done easily, just changing the kind of switch in the pedal. Some real users may correct me.

Thanks, I guess you can exchange the switch. I just wanted to be sure that there is not some kind of hidden “setting” where you can change the behaviour on the fly..

Well to be honest I don’t have any so I couldn’t tell. I just assume it is a rather simple pedal…
