FreqBox for Bass Guitars

Hi, Im glad to be part of the Moog Community, just purchased my first moog hardware, the FreakBox;). I was using it on my bass guitar but I really wasnt getting a good sound out of it. I got close when I moved the wave form to the square and rectangular wave. Gave me a distorted sound but wasnt as good as I wanted, it sounded more like noise but I think with a little more playing around I could have gotten the nice distorted bass sound Im looking for.

Does anyone know how I can get good sounds using my Bass Guitar with the FreakBox. I also have a pedal but for some reason it stopped working. Thanks a lot and Im glad to be part of this community

First off, welcome to the community and congrats on the FreqBox.

I think the main thing the FreqBox will benefit from is putting a filter after it. That could be anything from a Moog low pass filter, an EQ pedal, or just tweaking the EQ settings on your amp. The goal is to roll off the high end so that it gets rid of the noisiness of the oscillator, but preserves the type of sound you are looking for.
