I’ve Registered my new Taurus 3 on the Moog Site and it mentioned that any person Registering will receive a free gift, namely a large Moog sticker.
If I remember correctly I got one of these packaged with the Taurus 1 I bought back in 1980, I think it was the same as the black Moog sticker that was on the back of the T1?
Looking forward to receiving it and hope to put it on the T3’s Flight Case (when I get it).
Hi Baker, may i ask you how you do it? i recieved my T3 back in July and since then i’ve tried many times to register it with no luck. Every time i get an error message that says “Please check the accuracy of your serial number”. In wich format did you enter your serial number??
Thanks a lot, i really want to do the registration to get the sticker and for all the other good reasons
If I remember correctly you must enter the last 3 numbers only, for example my Taurus 3 is Serial Number T-0693, but all the Registration needs is the digits, i.e. 6 9 3
Try Registering again but just enter the last 3 digits of your Serial Number and I’m sure it will be ok.
Did you also go to the http://www.taurusbass.com site and enter your unique Code that is printed on the gold coloured letter from Moog that came with your T3?
Easy soldier - This is NAMM season and it is a VERY busy time for Moog and everybody else. The NAMM show just finished, everybody just got back and they are very likely bushed. They will get around to you.
I’d be happy to send you one. I have a small stack from a visit to Asheville, N.C. Send me a PM and you’ll have it in about 3 weeks : ) (I’m in New Jersey, U.S.A.) I know it’s not the same as showing up in the mail in an envelope with Moog letterhead but I figured I’d offer.
For the record, I never got one with my Taurus either but years ago when I got my Tribute, they sent me one.
Who’s going to steal it, it isn’t something you walk down the street with? Apart from transporting it directly to the gigs and back it is kept at home and if anyone’s going to steal it from there they’re going to take it regardless of what stickers are on the box.
I’ve got a Fender bass case, does that mean I should cover up the Fender logo???
never leave the gear unattended, sticker or not.
just one bady might get away with it, no matter if he/ she can read or not.
some people are just like that.
mostly small things are stolen faster ( microphones, small suitcases etc. )
make good arrangements within a band that never shall gear be left without at least one person watching.
we toured for 14 years ( not continuesly afcourse ) and only once a bassguitar was stolen , within seconds while packing the van.
done by a guy who actually worked in the place where we played.
luckily we were able to buy it back, on the street a few days later.
so NEVER keep your gear unattended
i don’t get it. whats all the hubbub about not receiving a sticker? i can see being displeased with spending $2000+ on an instrument and never receiving it but a free sticker?
Baker69, I’ll bet you dollars to doughnuts that a polite & respectful call to the CS dept. would net you your stickers, & you would have them before the end of the month.
You’re quite right Timmy, it’s nothing to worry about really, whether the item is worth $1 or $50 is neither here nor there it’s just the principle of the matter.
Moog obviously thought it was a nice gesture and a sort of ‘thank you’ for taking the time to go their web site and registering their T3, but for them then not to do anything about it rather lets them down as far as their customer relationship goes.
To summarise, no I’m not too bothered about not receiving it, it just riles me when companies promise to do things and then don’t fulfil their promises.
I really wouldn’t give a crap if they didn’t say they would send me one.The fact that they won’t send me one makes me feel like a dork.Ok,I am a dork, but moog doesn’t have to contribute to my condition!
I got a sticker when I registered my MP201, but for the life of me, I cannot work out any combination of my T3 serial number that works to get it registered on the site. I sent an email to customer service, no reply. Anyone work out how to get it to work? I know it’s a problem often mentioned, but I’ve never come across an answer.
