You can built yourself easily a battery box with the needed cable to plug the battery box where the wall wart cable normally goes. So no problem. But I don’t know about the ampers a foogers needs.
I’m looking for smaller and also battery powered. Think camping/ busking/ more portable type gear. I know that a small Boss/ MXR etc delay is not going to sound anywhere as warm as my 104 nor is it going to have all the capabilities with no cv ins and outs. But different needs requires different gear.
I am TOTALLY with you on battery powered pedal and stuff. I should have done this long ago. All that was required are a couple of 9v plugs from old adapters and a pair (of pair) of Sermos connectors. I picked the batteries from what I had that would fit in place (and that I had in stock). I would not recommend for people to power their foogers with lipos, just as I did. These batteries must be handled with very specific care. Use AA’s or AAA’s instead, rechargeable or not. I would have used them myself (and I probably will) but you need to make a special battery holder, that’s a chore, so I went for easy does it
So here’s my battery operated pedal gear. The little ME-20B is an essential sound beautifier for my basses. I just go a new Strat with noiseless pickups and the ME-20B is absolutely great sounding with it. It was always good with guitars, but it seems to shine with this Strat, same with the Midi-Murf. I was all humbuckers before but this guitar sounds real good. (Not shown, a couple of regular exp’s for the foogers).
Thanks for the heads up on the Boss splicer, looks like a cool piece. It is a bit large for this application. I might have to rethink my one for one idea. So
far it stands as
Boss GE eq
Boss DD3 & or Mxr carbon copy
Boss RV5
MXR phase 90 ( the old school custom one)
Copilot fx Android
Boss RC-2
Maybe a Korg MiniKP or if I can find another small pedal that tweaks the signal in a crazy sort of way. The whole idea is to find them used and cheap. And if that means beat up so be it.
