I want to make the LFO and other effects etc on the cp251 play back in time…To give you a better example heres what i was trying to do: Apologies in advance for this long winded explination, but bear with me please:
Working on a track…at the breakdown i wanted to use some of the effects from the foogers to add to an already recorded audio piece, so i run out of my interface and into my Freqbox..then into the Ring Mod, also i have the CP251 hooked up as well, now im just generally experimenting with them and finding my way on the best methods that will work for me…So i came across this little prob…i was playing back my main lead part of the track and wanted to use the LFO on the CP251 to kinda make the oscillator speed up and slow down (if u get my drift)..i struggled to get it in perfect time with the track…
Im sure i read somewhere there is a device i can add that sorts this out, but i cannot for the life of me find it…
yea sometimes thats can be a “problem” with pure analog is it is always moving and ocassionally drifts. but thats why moog is releasing the MP201 as stated above and adding lfo sync to the new LP model
You can probably do that with those units, but in my experience, the cp251’s controls are very sensitive. THe LFO is sensitive, the attenuators are very sensitive and its just tough anyway trying to sync an LFO to another tempo because the closer that you get, it may be several seconds or more before you notice that its out. Then you might want to attenuate the LFO so the range of fast and slow is more under your control. So it may be really tough but It can be done.
