Firmware suggestion or have I missed something: MIDI Clock

Hi all,

I’d like to sync the Sub 37 to incoming MIDI clock but I don’t need any other MIDI messages; just the clock.

MIDI clock is not a channel message but as far as I can see on the Sub 37 I need to dedicate a MIDI channel to it otherwise it doesn’t see the clock, The trouble is then I need to make sure no other gear is transmitting on that channel.

Is there a way around this I have missed?

If you have a multiple output MiDi interface then put the Sub37 on a separate output and don’t send any note data from your DAW to that output. Only send MIDI Clock to that output. That’s one way of doing it.

The easiest would be to set the Moog Sub37 to a different channel to your other hardware. So long as there is MIDI Clock going to the Moog it will sync regardless of the channel.
