I think this is the right forum for this request, but could you create a polychain mode between synths in a future firmware update that works like Duo mode on the Sub 37? I got a Minitaur to polychain to my Sub 37 because I wanted to play two independent melodies at the same time like you can in Duo mode (e.g. bass lines in the left hand and melodies in the right). The current polychaining approach of alternating between voices is fine for chords but not independent melodies. Having the second Minitaur for bass lines is helpful because then you can have different sounds for each voice and control the envelope better than you can while play in Duo on a single Sub 37. You could keep the current polychaining approach but just add “duo chaining”.
For now I’ll just get a separate midi controller for the Minitar.
So in this proposed mode, the “lowest note” would always be played by one synth, and the “highest note” would always be played by the other?
I can see that being a useful poly chain mode. If you meant something slightly different, let me know. I’ll make a note that there should be multiple poly modes in the future. Thanks!
I don’t know what it would do if you were only playing one note though. I would image it would be easiest to have it just play both synths in unison. Or, you could have it play the synth whose last note was closest to the new note being played. I don’t know if that would difficult to program or if it would be awkward to play it the latter way?
