Fine Tune Pot Range

Hi there my fellow Moogers,

I have my first Moog and it’s the great Sub37!
I’m very happy with it tough I have one problem/question.

The Synth is in Tune when the Fine Tune knob is at 5 o’clock/full open, at 11;)
I have noticed that when I use the Fine Tune in edit mode that it doesn’t go to 100%
It doesn’t go from A to Z in the alphabet and it doesn’t go to 100% swing etc.
Full open is about 49%
Is the pod broken or is this something that I can fix in the menu?
I can’t find anyone els on the forum who has a question about it but I hope some one can help me with this.

I’m not sure if it would help in this case, but it shouldn’t hurt either: have you tried running a note calibration? See page 47-48 of the manual for more info on this.

Hey Jornt,

don’t worry.
You should calibrate your pots. This is done by sending three little SysEx files to your Sub37.
Contact your local Moog distributor or ask people @Moog (Andy, Amos, Gil) directly to get these files.

Thanks for your reply, I think your right because the synth is in tune the pot just doen’t go to 100%
I’ll send an e mail to the people at Moog.

Thanks for your reply.
I’ve received the files and the c6 program and did the calibration.
Now the fine tune pot works perfectly.

I’m really happy it works so now I can dial in the whole alphabet and have the synth in tune somewhere around 12 o’clock :slight_smile:

Can you post this files, so I can calibrate in the cemter of pot?
I have the files to calibrate the Wave Pot if someone need it.
