Filter Overdriving...

Tonight I was just trying some different things. I put the Right output into the Ext Audio input cause I was using the headphones. I made both A and B filters into 1 Poles and I took some Noise from my CP251 and patched that into the Pitch input. Turned the resonance up a tad smidgen and some slight detune of a single 16foot Osc. Square wave. Its really kickin in when you have 3 oscs.

Its very freaking sweet once you find the perfect overdrive amount. Id post a demo but Im really too lazy.

For anyone who may not be aware of it, this is a classic Minimoog feedback trick to beef up the sound. You can read more about this trick and a few other overdrive techniques in the “Kicking It Up A Notch” article on KnobTweak (KT>Files>Voyager).

The Key here was using noise as a voltage source into the pitch input.

Yep, I did this RIGHT OUT to INPUT technique too when I multisampled the Voyager in my other post. I will try the noise thing next time.
