Filter controls have stopped working!

Hi

Yesterday my Voyager worked fine.

Today it doesn’t.

If I turn the filter cutoff or resonance knobs nothing happens. The values change on the screen so the potentiometer itself definitely works. The Filter envelope also works so the filter circuit itself must be fine. I’m guessing the software must just have got scrambled.

I’m on 2.5

Do you think simply upgrading to 3.2 might help? I don’t have the V3 hardware upgrade.

Any help much appreciated.

Tried upgrading to 3.2.

No difference.

Tried downgrading to 2.5. No diff. However, now all patches sound the same. Controls behave unpredictably.

Downgrade to 2.1. Filter controls now work. However, patches still all the same scrambled noise (diff one this time).

Tried 1.5. Filter controls not working again. All patches sound the same.

Installing any upgrade makes no diff. All patches the same (though the sound does change with each upgrade/downgrade).

So now I have a completely scrambled Voyager (I’ve actually suffered lots of similar probs with my Moog-it’s even got a brand new logic board at the moment!).

Sounds like a software thing rather than a hardware thing though. How do I do a full factory reset and start afresh?

Downgrading will scramble all patches for sure. That’s why downgrading is never recomended. OS 3.2 is working very fine. So you got maybe other problems then OS problems in the beginning.
I am not sure, but I would strongly recomment to update from 1.5 on in the recommended way described in 2.0. The go to 2.1 (I think). Then 3.2.
Read the manual pDFs carfully. You will have to do more then just loading in the three files per update. And be sure to load the 3 update files per update in the right sequence !
When you are at 3.2 , you should load the factory sounds.

OK. It seems my TS curcuit is broken and that it’s overriding the filter controls : ( For now I’m just going to have to turn TS off on all patches until I can afford to send it to Moog for repair (which could be a long time)
