Here’s a suggestion for the App that my life would not make sense without it, Animoog. Ok, exaggerating a bit, but I really love Animoog
This idea is not limited to just ‘syncing presets with Dropbox’ but it would be one of the first major benefits.
Problem trying to solve:
- Adding and managing presets from iTunes to Animoog is tedious at best
- While we can add Presets to Animoog this way, iTunes does not provide a file manager for its Apps
- Same can be said of recorded jam sessions, no straightforward way to move them out of Animoog
- Timbres cannot be added to Animoog without using i-funbox or other 3rd-party software
Suggestion:
- Animoog to be able to sync user presets, user timbres and saved projects with a cloud service
- That cloud service needs to support direct access to files, so that probably rules out iCloud, but there’s Dropbox, Google Drive, MS Sky Drive, etc.
- Alternatively, it could sync with an eventual “Animoog account”, but that would probably require more work / infrastructure from Moog instead of leveraging existing third-party file syncing services
Benefits:
- Animoog users can easily and effectively manage their user-created data
Of course, it’s easy to have an idea, but implementing it is another story! Anyway, I’ll be glad if that somehow encourages you to implement new great features to Animoog. I think this specific feature would make me an even happier Animoog user!
