As I hardly ever use the Pitch Wheel, I thought it would be very nice to be able to use the Pitch Wheel for different purposes than just to control pitch. There are situations where the Pirch Wheel would be very useful as an (additional) centered controller for modulation, e.g. to control the filter cutoff from a determined middle position.
