I’m wondering if there might be an experienced user living in the SW of England (I live in Plymouth, Devon) who could help me with updating my voyager’s OS and other confusing challenges?
Many thanks
Barrie
There’s an active community of several hundred users on this forum if you’re having trouble.
Ask away, if you like.
Hi Barrie, I seem to have hijacked the Voyager OS problem thread that you started. Sorry about that. Are you still stuck at backing up your presets?
You can do this with the tools you have. But I understand that it’s much easier working with people who know the tools better.
I did a back up of everything using the latest librarian on the Mac side, I am running OS 10.5.8 also.
You should give it another shot… using the librarian. We can talk you through this.
Hiya,
don’t worry about the “hijack”
And thanks for your warm and encouraging message - it’s much appreciated.
Seems to me that it might be best if I tried the SysEx program. My anxiety is that I’ll mess things up completely (I presently have a much loved and functioning Voyager). Having someone to ‘hold my hand’ would be reassuring.
I’ll see if I can get the SysEx Librarian to talk to the Voyager. I’ll let you know how I get on.
All the best and hope your problems are sorted .
All the best
Barrie
You own the editor don’t you Barrie?
Just go through each bank and pull it into the Mac, then Save it as a file, like they were talking about in the other thread. It’s the easiest way to do them all. You can load the file back into the editor to verify and you are good to go.
Also, if you are not creating and saving lots of new presets, and just working with existing presets, there is really nothing to fear, you can always copy banks back to the Voyager.
This new update was a little rocky for a lot of us, but you should try it anyway.
