Expanding my Voyager

Hi,

I have owned my Voyager RME for a couple of years now and am really enjoying exploring its many features and the amazing sounds you can create.

I am starting to wonder about expanding the synth and wondered what do I need, e.g I think I need a VX-352, but then what and what would it do for my Voyager?

Sorry if this sounds stupid, I am just not sure where this will lead.

Regards,

David

The VX-352 adds Control Voltage INPUT access to the RME.

The VX-351 adds CV OUTPUT access.

With the 352 you can use expression pedals or other Moog CV modules (CP-251, MP-201, MoogerFoogers) to control parameters of the RME.

Like volume, pan, LFO rate, filter cutoff, oscillator pitch and waveform, etc. Also, envelope and S&H gates.

I have a Voyager Electric Blue and always have at least an EP-1 pedal plugged into the volume jack at all times. Another handy control is LFO rate with an expression pedal.

The real craziness begins when you throw MoogerFoogers and a VX-351 into the rig. Now you can use say keyboard pitch CV to control the delay time of an MF-104, so the higher pitch you play the longer the delay. Or the rate of the LFO or the frequency of an MF-102.

I really suggest reading the online manuals for the CP-251 and VX-351/352 to get a better idea of the concept and what CV can do.
