The newest member of the Moog Etherwave Theremin family is also the newest member of our Controller family. The Etherwave Plus extends the Theremin’s gestural playing technique to the world of analog synthesis and beyond. Control synthesizers and effects while playing the Theremin or use as a stand-alone CV (Control Voltage) controller.

Already have our Standard Etherwave Theremin? Upgrades are available!

So Nice!

Eric

Once again, very cool! There’s even a field upgrade available for $149, so you can order that and the Etherwave kit and build your own!

Hi all;
Can Moog supply a PDF of the instructions for the “Field Upgrade”? I would like to know what is involved so as to decide if I should do it myself, or send it in.
I have a Signature Series model.
Doable Moogsters?

ABsound, I do believe that instructables are included in the field upgrade package. I’d be very surprised if they weren’t. When in doubt, e-mail Amos. That’s what I did before ordering the Stage II field upgrade for my Little Phatty.

Yeah, I was on the fence about getting one, because I wasn’t so sure how much I’d actually use it. But now that they can control external gear… that’s a pretty sweet thing I must say. Perhaps 2009 will be the year of the Theremin for me!

wtf :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8N-LpbXF33g

I love that video! I think thats some WI FI stuff going on there.

People use their DS to control their synths…interesting sub culture coming out of the videogame/synth crowd.

Eric

Also, the multipedal and EP-2 can be used to control an Atari or Colecovision for games requiring the paddle controllers.

If that’s the Wii Theremin/LP video, (I’m at work, can’t watch it), I think the light bar was modified to run off the filter input of the LP. Not a difficult mod, but working with such small wires is a PITA.

The light bar on the Wii does nothing other than provide two constant points of IR. The Wiimote does the sensing.

I know that. However, I was unable to get my Wiimote to do this. He modified something…I just don’t know what. Otherwise I’d do a video about it.

My friend is going to hack his WII to make a theremin. Ill tell you how he did it when he does.

Eric

Yeah, keep me posted!
