either I'm crazy or....

I a have a performer - 2.5 - a while back, A buddy came over and was fiddlign with it and somehow got the backpanel and the pitch/mod wheels to light up blue in the dark! - but he didnt’ know how he did it - I called guitar center and they said I’d see a knob on the far right that controlled this, but I don’t have a knob - I swore to the guy on the phone that we’d somehow made it blue and he thought I was crazy - PLEEEEAASE help me with this. Does anyone know how to light the back panel on a performer without this - knob?

I think…you might be crazy

A shot in the dark…

Are you SURE the panel lit up or could it have been just the wheels - they can be very bright?

It’s conceivable that a Performer has been upgraded with optional blue wheels. Sprinkle in some dodgy wiring and there’s a possibility of them coming on for a bit, reflecting off the panel and then going off again (not even sure if it can be menu controlled).

But surely the panel would have to have the see-through bits as on a genuine light up MMV (which would have the knob).

Then again, maybe it’s a prototype.

Then again, you may well be going mad!

Maybe this Voyager was later modified for the back lit. And the owner choosed to have the knob somewhere else then on the front right of the highest key.
And your friend just found this knob.
If you would send us some pictures or your Voyager, we could tell you for sure if you are crazy.

dude…send me some of those drugs!

I want my Opus-3 to turn purple…
