Quick question, I’ve got a Novation Impulse and Minitaur
when loading the editor, i choose the Impulse on the left hand side and the minitaur on thr right hand side, but no midi data arrivés when i play keys
does the midi input in the editor actually work?
both the Mintaur and the impulse work fine in any other host as input and output port.
please advise?
My rig (also using the Impulse 49) uses the USB and MIDI DIN connectors so I’m not totally dependent on computer MIDI routing.
I can still play the Minitaur while using the editor, with the Minitaur selected as the input device inside the editor.
Try adding a MIDI cable direct to the Minitaur (in addition to your USB connection to the computer) and see if that helps…

That helps, but defeats the purpose of (broken) midi through in the editor
I don’t know that the editor is “broken”, per se -
The Minitaur-to-editor connection is 2-way via USB; the editor can both send and receive MIDI programming info to-and-from the Minitaur.
I’m guessing the native, no-additional-driver-required USB implementation for the Minitaur is not mult-client, so only one application at a time can access it at a time via USB. Not unheard of.
That’s just a guess on my part, and since the addition of a single MIDI cable both works and adds considerable flexibility, I don’t look upon it as a problem.. 
The editor seems to receive MIDI on channel 1 only. If you have set your Minitaur to any other channel, then you should rechannelize the MIDI data before it arrives to the Editor. I do it with MIDI-OX on Windows, and Bidule on Mac
Me too, Editor only fully working on midi channel 1.
I hard set Minitaur to channel 3. I start Editor and it does not show Midi on channel 3 for Input and Output. (but Minitaur is as I play Minitaur with midi controller set to channel 3)
I change Editor Input/Output Midi to channel 3 then
If I make change in editor to a knob it will change on Minitaur, but if I turn knob on Minitaur it does not change in Editor.
However,
-To load presets into Editor I have to have Editor set to channel 1 and it will load. (this should come up as 3 and work only on 3)
-On channel 1 unable to move knobs in Editor (this makes sense as Minitaur is hard set to channel 3)
Another Issue:
I also, periodically have note stuck on, this occurs almost daily. Does not happen on my Little Phatty (or other synths) only on Minitaur.
Enhancements:
1-Start editor with all 4 windows open and in last position, right now I have to do like 10 steps to open windows and position
2-Auto load presets into Editor.
