A bit of a pickle… I’ve just paid my US$79, received my registration details and it won’t register. I’m on a Mac Mini running OSX Lion. Maybe Lion’s the issue - but it’d be nice to be warned up front if it’s incompatible. If it IS incompatible - why? Lion is a general release OS.
I’ve try the following:
Fire up the freshly-installed demo and wait for the “demo or register” page.
I enter my name, formatted precisely as reported back from the seller, and the XXXXX.XX code I received via email in the appropriate fields.
Hit the “Enter Code” button.
Nothing happens. Button depresses, but nothing.
I try to hit the “Register Online” button below that, and am taken to a Moog web page that reports back that “this doesn’t exist”.
I resort to hitting “Demo” again and the app starts. I go to "About, hand surprise, surprise, my name is there.
I quit the app and start up again - and the damned thing is NOT registered, and wants the info again.
I sent an email off to SoundTower and immediately received a reply - with a fix!
This is the email from Alex:
Hi Chris,
Thank you so much for your considerations. You are so kind.
Maybe to avoid a general confusion would be better if you could make a post that we have supplied a fix and post the link if you like > www.soundtower.net/temp/Moog_Voyager_364.zip> .
We are still working on the old and the new goodies for the Voyager and we are hoping to release them soon.
Yeah. It also allows you to tweak the knobs from your computer, as if that was more fun than programming a soft synth. the LP has a VST, why doesn’t the Voyager?
Maybe we’re selling it a bit short? It is, I’m finding out, a pretty powerful tool. I’m looking at the editor section and finding out how some of the factory presets are constructed, and learning heaps from that. I’m actually liking it so far.
In his return email, Alex from SoundTower intimated that there was a new version in the works, so maybe an AU or VST??
Thanks for that screenshot, also for your input on how the program has helped you. I’ve never heardd anything but negativity regarding Soudtower software/customer support, so your post is a breath of fresh air.
