edit pot mapping

Are there some settings in pot mapping that render another dial useless. The cutoff had no effect on a voice setup that filled the pot mapping selection of parameters.

After changing the resonance and filter amount (pot mapping edit), among other settings, the cutoff wouldn’t respond. The filter cutoff was ineffectual across the 20 - 12K Hz range (on just the one voice).

Are there conditions where this occurring or is it logical and self-explanatory?

Thanks

Are you talking about a hardware Voyager or Arturia software? The hardware version is monophonic i.e. only one “voice”. Or is “voice” an oscillator? Try and explain your problem a bit more clearly and I’ll see if I (or someone else) can help.

Maybe there were too many words not associated with the question I had in mind. Anyway, to spell it out - I refer to MMV without using the mofos, and using ‘voice’ in terms of what is on the panel.

The cutoff became ineffectual from the control knob (for the cutoff), but worked fine from the ADSR. I had most of the pot mapping to filter parameters.

I was surprised the cutoff control would stop, and wonder if assigning pot maps can render it out of use. Shouldn’t the frequency have changed from the designated controller on the voyager front panel? Do other controls become redundant when pot mapping is used?

If not occurring to anyone else, I was just temporarily fascinated that it did nothing to turn the cutoff.

Then the touch screen didn’t respond while mod2 was controlling osc1. Leads me to think I’m missing something from a pot map point of view.
I had made adjustments for the control to be heard if it was to work.
It has been my experience that this is what to expect.

I’m sure it’s just an anomaly, but thought the reference manageable, if without pleasure.

Maybe upload this patch and let us see how it is done and why there is no control for the filter in this patch. But maybe it is just the sound itself. Sometimes you open the filter so high up in the clouds, that the front plate knobs can’t lower it to hear a difference at all.

Maybe there are other patches where a change of sound results from priority to another parameter for some reason.

The filter and amount on the panel didn’t effect the tone with one of the supersaw patches too.

Time to have a greater reserve of patience then my limited understanding allows for.

Thanks
