Very unreliable best describes these. Actually, Kevin Lightner probably has more colorful ways of describing them.

IMHO, unless you can actually bring a tech with you to go look at it in person, I would be very careful. And even then, the only tech worth taking might just be Kevin Lightner himself! From what I’ve heard, these synths do not have a good reputation at all, which is too bad.
I’d get his Buick before his Polymoog. 
Heh, yeah, even if I had the money, which I don’t, I absolutely don’t have the room so I’m not going to venture into PolyMoog ‘hell’ anytime soon. 
If the missing lug nut on his wheel is any indication, passing on the Polymoog is probably a good idea.
I had missing lug nuts on the car that I sold, missing the post as well, but My Micro woudl be fit to sell lol.

Yeah, I’m sure there aren’t too many coffee table-quality units left. Yours was the first I’d seen since seeing a brochure for the Polymoog at synthmuseum.com.
