Dumb Midi Question for LP

I’m slaving another device to the arp coming out of the LP, but when I turn the preset select encoder knob, it too is making changes on the slaved device, and I don’t want it to do that. How do I stop the preset knob from transmitting?

Thanks.

And probably any other knobs on the LP, for that matter. All I want to do is send the clock.

While we’re at it, here’s another question I was thinking about. When a device or sequencer send midi clock, does it send it on all channels? For example, I use Sonar, and there’s nothing in its midi settings to specify what channel the clock gets sent on. This could be good or bad depending on the situation. If I want to slave multiple devices to the same clock, I’d also want to be able to filter different messages to different devices.

There is an option to turn off program change messages, which will prevent the preset select encoder knob from changing the voice on the second synth, but I don’t believe there is a way to prevent the other knobs sending midi. I don’t know about the midi clock, but I assume it sends on all channels

Thanks – I found it.

Found what?

“It.”

I’m still wondering about midi clock, though.
