Just purchased a Mooger ring mod, sounds fantastic on my Phatty.
I have a quick question, is it safe to run a signal through it and drive it into the red all the time…I put a kik drum through it and just running the signal to distortion on the input of the Ring mod sounded very musical …
Is there anything inside the ring mod that can get damaged due to over driving the input…
I wouldn’t go overboard (like boosting something 100 dB before it hits the ring mod), but Moog suggests overdriving the Moogerfoogers for some analog distortion.
