So I thought I had my SP an my daw setup (Ableton)
setup is like this:
Midi Track - MIDI From all ins, channel 1
so I can play the SP record the midi an then the midi can be played back and all the midi cc’s working every think seems right and sounds right.
now I know I need an audio track as well so I can maybe put some reverb or compression on, but when I set this up I just get the SP sound again a few MS later over the top over the original SP sound. The reverb an compression work but only over the second sound.
you need to mute the line input coming into your computer (somewhere in your system settings, not in Ableton) - you only want to hear the sound coming through ableton.
Also if you can hear a noticeable delay between the directly-monitored sound and the Ableton sound, you might have more audio latency than you’d like… try ASIO4ALL for windows built-in sound cards, or your manufacturer’s ASIO drivers (for windows outboard audio interfaces), or a more expensive audio interface for Mac…
anyway though, mute your sound card’s input and you should be sorted.
I muted the line input in focusrite pro 24 saffire mix control and the sound is working perfect
In focusrite pro 24 the audio latency is fine on my computer i have just been running the ASIO buffer at 64 so thats realy low to low the computer was clicking & poping and still the sound was late.
On the Audio track i have set Track Delay to -30.0 MS thats fix the problem with its sounding late.
Do you think changing the Track Delay is right?
