I recently bought this album on the strength of listening to samples from the tracks, and rate it highly. I really enjoy the synth work and wondered if anyone knows which machines were used? I’m sure there is a Moog in there somewhere - a couple of the sounds could have been created by Wendy Carlos.
So, what do you know?
There may well have been a minimoog D in there, but I’m afraid ‘TIME’ was recorded in the middle of ELO’s Yamaha period. CS 80 is the most likely. That, and Oberheim. ‘Discovery’ is also chocker with it.
There may well be a token bit of minimoog on it, but the last great moog album that they recorded was ‘Out Of The Blue’. The most obvious use of minimoog is on ‘On The Third Day’.
