Hi,
I’m looking for a good distortion pedal that really could blend nicely with LP, I noticed that most of them are only good for guitar IMHO.
And also I need a suggestion of a good inexpensive reverb unit that could go from subtle to the deep ridiculous range of reverb.
Your inputs would be very appreciated, thanks a lot guys!

The internal reverb algorithms are by Lexicon.
Both of these reverb pedals have Modulation options that
can add beautiful stereo chorusing to your reverbs.
Don’t forget the LP’s filter overdrive for some distortion.
yes, the Little Phatty can make a sort of OverDrive, but that’s not the type of saturation of an amplifier…that’s a FILTER saturation!
If you want an OD like the one used on the guitars, you’d better have a stompbox:

Electro Harmonix makes a Graphic Fuzz which is a distortion pedal/eq for less than 200. Its a great pedal for all types of distortions.
I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with all EHX pedals that ive ever seen or heard.

Yeah .. not many video demos for synth+effects/pedals out there .. most of them are guitars. Not so long after i posted the thread my DL4 died, the 3rd & 4th lights stayed on and no signal came through, jeez .. While I’m on a budget for reverb pedal, now I better get the delay first and work on reverb-ey settings out of it. Any suggestion for ones preferably with tap tempo and memory for saving presets? How about Boss DD20 Giga delay, or Digitech Timebender?
For reverb pedals, I liked the Tech 21 R.V.B. and Malekko Spring Chicken LE, since I’m now looking for the simple interface .. but it has been discontinued. Don’t really like the chicklet version, cos I heard that it has some problems like noise and pop-ing sound when engaged. I’m also looking at the Holy grail nano, but since people complained about the original version (noise, bla bla bla) I don’t have clue if it’s fixed on this version or not. Have anyone tried this pedal on synthesizers? I tried & returned Digitech RV7, Line6 Verbzilla, ended up with the cheapo Behringer RV600 for my Juno 60 which strangely good enough for my cheap ears 
But now I’m looking for something else, hopefully better ones for my LPII.
As for distortion, I heard some band even swore on the cheap Boss MT-2, interesting enough since it has an EQ so I might get overdriven sound without losing low freq for my basslines.

I would say that a good choice would be a Line6 M9 - its a smaller format, and has GREAT sound quality. Not to mention, its midi sync-capable, and very very very flexible. It will take your mono input and make it stereo if you want.
Ive gone through a TON of effects pedals, at one point having somewhere around $3500 invested in guitar pedals (all boutique, hand made, etc etc blah blah blah), but that ONE box knocked about $1500 - $2000 worth of kit off my pedal board.
You could set it up so when you change patches on the M9 it will change patches on your LP, or vice versa …not to mention your DAW or sequencer!!!
Just take that into consideration…
That sounds interesting, especially with the midi sync. But I’m really focusing on a pedal .. i don’t know why but my brain prefers simpler stuffs these days as i’m getting older and older .. sheesh
I narrowed it down between (i’m keeping it down below $200 budget range): Tech 21 D.L.A. and Deluxe Memory Boy .. let’s see what happen with the research. I really need tap tempo. Also preset memory which too bad neither one of these have it. Thanks !
This is a bit off-topic but I was just wondering what the benefits of a pedal delay-unit is?
Is it that it is analog and that it could be considered sacrilege using a digital delay-unit from within your DAW on the sound of the Little Phatty?
Some people do run a 100% analog rig. I do not use a computer while playing/performing (just patch/sequence back up).
Analog delays can color the sound quite a bit and often produce an effect similar to a low pass filter as the repeats decay. I am currently not using an analog delay, though it is something I would like to add in the near future. I have had some in the past. I have two digital rack delays one of which has a very analog sound. I like external effects (rack/ pedal/ tabletop) way more than internal synth or software effects because they are so inviting to be played as an instrument. Also, you can not misuse software effects. Some of the most interesting and unique sounds I’ve made have come about using a simple external effect in a way not imagined by the manufacture, particularly with twisting knobs and pushing buttons on a delay while is running. I have not found pleasing results when software glitches, but I have on a few occations out of many attempts achieved a nice result pushing hardware where it was not intended to go. Another plus is everthing is in front of my face and rerouting to another peice of gear is more obvious to me. The dowside is needing more space and keeping cables tidy.

I have a Fender '63 Re-issue (accutronics tank) that I’m about to sell, have used it exclusively with my Little Phatty, I can say that it really does add some nice organic depth to the sound even at low dwell level and it’s about as classic a tone as you can get (the tube driven warmth).
Interestingly, I’ve had to move it from it’s original position in my rig since getting my Taurus pedals as certain frequencies tend to shake the hell out of thing despite it being dampened by springs (it’s a floating tank).

It’s possible that the hue is a video artifact since the
still pic above it looks pure white.
Either way, the real deal breaker is the Mono In.
It’s frustrating to have so many pedals that each
create a unique stereo effect (not to mention my
stereo synths) only to have each effect once again
squashed to mono by the next Mono In/Stereo Out
pedal. Even in Bypass the signal is mono.
Yeah. I suppose being a “guitar” pedal, it assumes Mono w/Stereo out will suit.
Interestingly (or disturbingly), many of the demos that I’ve seen of various pedals that offer Stereo out do not even us the 2nd channel. Shame really.
The Little Phatty, as I’m sure you know, is purely a mono instrument but yes, I’ve got a Korg Radias and even my Old School Voyager is Stereo and it would be a shame to dilute that down to a mono channel.
W/regard to the Strymon, if you pipe in a mono channel and have no 2nd 1/4" in, will it take that as a mono signal (as opposed to Left only) and apply that to the output stereo field (assuming choral or LFO effects?)

Yeah, like the EHX deluxe memory boy is almost everything but stereo i/o .. 
Although it’s mainly for my LP, but i still want it to be fully capable for the rest.
Sadly, “guitar” pedal makers keep assuming that you won’t ever be using
any stereo effects prior to their Mono In/Stereo Out effect.
Equally important is the need to have normal stereo thru when the pedal
is bypassed. One example is the Ventilator Leslie simulator. I’d really like
to have it connected to the L/R Outputs of my ROMpler and kick it in only
when using B-3 and certain guitar and piano sounds. But, because it’s only
mono in, I can never have any of my other sounds in stereo without wiring
up a crazy bypass workaround:

The strymon pedals, like almost all Stereo In/Stereo Out pedals, will work
correctly if you only plug into the jack designated as the Mono In.
