Disappointing Envelopes

Have any of you noticed how little control there is of envelope timing when the times get short? On the matriarch an other synths I have there is quite a lot of control when the envelope time is very short, so the attack on plucks and such can be precisely tuned in. On the muse, there is not very much control at all. I think the way they scaled the control of the fader is not right. Using shift + the fader doesn’t help, as it seems like it only stores values in increments of .01 seconds. This is a fine increment when the time is long, but not when it is short. I think the resolution should get higher under .10 seconds. Please consider fixing this!

Yikes!! In my opinion, the Matriarch (analog circuit) envelopes have very poor resolution at short times. Moog should not be making this mistake again. Hopefully, it’s just another oversight of the firmware (and beta-testing!) teams.

If you haven’t it is worth experimenting to see whether adjusting the attack and decay curve shapes in the envelope menus might help you find the response you’re looking for.

It certainly will.

You guys are super right!

Excellent! Yeah with the curve shape cranked up on the exponential side it’s actually pretty snappy.
