detuned oscillators + overload

Hi all guys!

Well, Lp is my first analogic synthesizer so i probably miss many things…
My question is about using a little bit detuned oscillators with some overload(witout sync), i get a very strange and quite harsh oscillation in the sound, especially with high pitch notes. Here is a little audio sample i ve done with cubase after more then 1 hour of warm up: http://www.sendspace.com/file/z6ivi6

Is this a normal thing or probably i am missing something? Is not possible to combine detuning with overloading? a re-calibration of lp will help for the stability between oscillators?

thanks in advance for any help!

yes it is normal.
it is an interference between two sounds of slightly different frequencies (osc1 and osc2 in your case)

Remember you can adjust the frequency of OSC 2 if you don’t like the rate of beating, but only after it’s warmed up properly otherwise you’ll have to re-adjust again.

oh ok, so i ve to adjust frequency as i supposed. Thank you guys!

yes , you could do that. or you could try to find detuned sound you like, and than enjoy it. what ever suits you
