Dear Moog Marketing: Sonic Infinity

In 2006, myself and a lot of other people signed up for the first sonic infinity dvd/product catalog. This of corse was the free DVD demonstrating all of the Moog product line to that date.

Now while you guys didn’t have to sell me the Voyager or the Brand name…(I already knew that those were the greatest) at that time I had absolutely no interest in the MoogerFooger line whatsoever because I thought that being in the stompbox format they were automatically aimed at purely the guitar demographic. Seeing as how the industry in the USA is really guitar biased (in my opinion) I absolutely rejected these pedals.

Then, I signed up for the free Sonic Infinity DVD product demo just so that i could hear and see a Voyager. Where Im from here in Arkansas, its a long drive to anywhere that would even think of having a Voyager in stock. (Guitar Center just got Little Phattys recently)

It was that free DVD and that DVD alone alone that totally changed my image of the Entire MoogerFooger line, and it was directly responsible for me purchasing the Ring Modulator, and It will be directly responsible for me purchasing the Analog Delay (this tuesday) and the CP-251 (this month, early March) as I refer to this DVD often and it is sitting right in front of me at this very moment.

I know that it was an ad campaign that cost a bit of money to produce.

I want to applaud your marketing strategy in this regard. And I hope that there will be more to come, and would really like to see the theremin and the piano bar included there because I have been toying with the idea of getting the piano bar for my father. (when the fundage allows)

Most Respectfully,
Eric
