Dead Oscillator 3 with Static on my Mini-Moog

I have an ancient 1972 MuSonics MiniMoog. Lately there’s been an intermittent static/noise sound which can be cured by (I’m afraid to say) a little tap on the panel. But now it’s no longer intermittent and in fact, very noisy. Osc 3 is completely dead (low beating thud sound). I think the noises are related. Everything else is fine, the other two Osc work well.

Ideas? Is this something a little cleaning can fix, or do I have dead electronics? If so, do parts exist?

Thanks

Sounds like loose connector flags on the oscillator card, they tend to spread apart and lose contact. Some of the control signals for OSC3 go through the connectors.

Highly recommend having a tech check it over.

Yeah, a problem that goes away after tapping def sounds like a short somewhere

Or the opposite- an open connection.
Either way, it does sound physical.
That could be a connector loose, a bad crimp, worn edge card finger, dirt or a component lead having broken its solder connection.
