Hi everyone, first post here. I’ve recently purchased a Minitaur, I’m loving it by the way but I have a question about CV to Midi Conversion.
I have an Elektron A4 which has CV out which I’m feeding into the Minitaur so I can sequence from the Elektron Unit. This will be its main use and so far so good I have got that all set-up and working by sending Pitch and Gate CV.
What I’m trying to experiment with is converting CV Pitch and Gate to Midi to try and trigger VSTs in Ableton using the Elektron. So far no success. I’m a CV noob, please bear with me!!! I’ve seen the video where Amos is controlling the Auto Filter in live using a Moog Unit connected to the Minitaur. However I’m not sure if note conversion/triggering is possible. Is this do-able? How do I do it?
The Minitaur is not sending out any midi upon receiving a CV signal so I don’t think I have the settings correct. I’ve played around with the VST editor settings but I’m not sure what I should be looking to change.
To clarify the editor is working fine when tweaking the Minitaur or vice-versa, Live also registers it has received midi when tweaking parameters on the unit so I think I have the midi connection to Live through USB correct.
Any help appreciated.
