I’m planning on building a CV patchbay for my 3 moogers (freqbox, ringmod, phaser). I want to route their outputs to the rear of the patchbay and have all the inputs in a 1u rack patchbay. From what I’ve figured out I need TRS inputs to be able to plug the pedal in any of the inputs. Am I correct?
Another question:
How should I wire a 100k potentiometer to act as a pedal?
I want to wire to wire 3 TRS jack inputs to act in the following way:
Source CV (such as LFO from CP-251) goes in one TRS input
The EP-1 expression pedal goes into the second TRS input
now the source CV is routed through the pedal (the potentiometer inside it) and is routed to the third TRS where I get the source CV scaled through the pedal so I can add the LFO eg. to the filter input on the LP.
The thing i’m trying to do is to get the pedal working as an attenuator (such as the one in the CP-251). It should be possible, the EP-1 is just onother pot. Could anyone give me advide on the correct wiring?
