Just after a bit of assistance. Obviously you can send and redistribute a gate signal from the CP-251 four-way mult and I’m trying but nothing seems to be happening.
The source gate is coming from the Analog Four, and I’m running a couple of patch cables out of the mult to try and sync with another sequencer and a delay.
Well, my little theory appears to be incorrect. I was able to patch a gate off the Voyager keyboard through the mult with both TS and TRS cables.
What is the gate amount off the A4 and what are the other devices looking for in terms of a gate voltage?
You might try patching the gate off the A4 through the mixer section and use the offset to increase the gate voltage to the other devices via the mult if the gate off the A4 is less than what the other devices are looking for.
If you load up a multiple with too many cords, it may ‘pull down’ the gate to a low enough voltage that it no longer properly triggers other modules. It has to do with the interaction of the receiving modules and the difference between passive and/or buffered mults.
Start simple, put a gate in and take it back out of a mult. Then send the gate out to a second module and see if it still works. Then a third…
Could i experience any issues using a 'Y/Insert" cable into the mult? Because this is what i’m using coming from the 2 CV ports (ABCD) on the A4?
i recon’d my A4 to throw out the gate (A) first, then pitch (B), then the two ‘value’ controllers (C&D) and this seemed to work well. I juiced the power up on the gate into the mult to 10v and this is powering a filter seq and a delay.
Just wondering if there could be issues with using a Y cable into the CP?
