coupling two voyagers

Does anyone know if its possible to couple the oscillators of 2 voyager rack mounts before modulating the combined outputs to create a 6 oscillator system?

The RME has a MixOut Insert, right?

So patch the Mixer Send (or audio output) from one into the External Audio In of another. If the MIDI In channels are set the same, both will play the same notes.

The RME does indeed have a MixOut Insert jack, so Latigid’s suggestion will work. Plug an Insert Cable into RME #1’s MixOut jack, then plug the Insert Cable’s Send (Ring) Jack into the RME #2 External Audio in. Presto! A six oscillator synth - provided both RME MIDI channels are the same as Latigid said.

This configuration should allow you to get incredibly fat unison sounds, as well as those illusive one-finger 11th chords.

Thanks, GregAE and latigid on, for your postings. It was good to hear that this is possible and that the resulting sound should be fat, as this is one of my goals in configuring a six oscillator system. I’m trying to reproduce the sound and flexibility of my old Moog Ic modular system, and tried a Voyager, which seemed a bit to pure and “thin,” (then again, maybe my memory isn’t so accurate), so I’ve been thinking about alternatives like .com modulars. Feedback welcomed.

Check Moog Space in the Files section under Voyager. I posted a few quick files that used rwo Voyagers and a Little Phatty Midi’d together.

I hope in a few days to do some more “extesnvie” ones "). With two Voyagers the CP 251/351 and some other MoogerFoogers you can do alot .

Brian - look forward to more files. Got anything with the voyagers without the LP?

Will post some more with only two Voyager’s in a day or so

Well I love Moog so much that im willing to pay the price for a 6 OSC modular system. (3 plus the VOyagers 3) right now all that i have is the driver, but the gears are in motion!

I also did an experiment where I took my Voyager and my Micromoog and used the accessory port on the Micro to power the Percussion Controller. I hooked the Scale output to the voyager and the Voyagers outputs to the OSC IN on the micro and I had a 4 oscilator synth playing together. It was very nice!
