Connecting Ableton to Animoog

Noob question. What is the simplest way to listen to / record the audio from Animoog in Ableton.
Running iPad2, Live 8, Macbook Pro, Animoog (with MIDI extension purchase)
Looked everywhere for the answer to this simple question, it is driving me nuts!
Your help would be truly appreciated.

Easiest -

‘Headphone out’ on your iPad to an “audio in” jack on your Mac.
