Confounding Sub Phatty Editor Librarian Issues!

Okay, I’m running my Sub Phatty MIDI in/AUDIO out through ableton live 9 Standard, and in that regard everything works perfectly. I love the tonal quality of this instrument.

I have successfully installed the Sub Phatty Editor as a VST and am running it in ableton, and again this works as it should EXCEPT the librarian, where I am having some issues:
(I have read through the librarian and present manager sections of the editor’s manual, which has not solved the issues) :exclamation:

-using the editor I tweak a hardware factory preset until it’s a new sound that I like, then I rename it, and while it keeps the name I gave it, it goes back to the factory sound and my new sound is lost! I try saving a new sound to hardware and it sends me to a finder window, to place it elsewhere. I do not want to risk saving my new sound by pressing bank and patch buttons simultaneously as it’s too easy to fumble the timing and lose your sound.

-the presets library is meant to be here: OSX: /Users/username/Library/Application Support/Moog Music Inc./Sub Phatty/Presets Library

…but in my case it is not :exclamation: , I have no ‘moog music inc’ in my applicaion support folder. also, my library folder is hidden, and when I search it up, it is grey and faded looking. does this account for my inability to save to SP hardware via the editor? I have created my own folder to save presets, but it does not contain any of the info that the application support folder should have in it, only my saved items.

-again using the editor I create a new sound from a factory preset in the SP’s hardware, and if I enter the librarian and drag that sound from the SP presets window into my preset library it will allow it, but immediately revert my new sound back into a factory preset

 ALL I WANT IS TO EASILY CREATE, SAVE, AND MANAGE NEW SOUNDS, which is apparently what the editor is designed to do, but I have had not much more than frustration, carefully following the instructions.

Can anyone help me out?

The Library user folders are indeed hidden by Finder on OS X. Be aware that there is also a system-wide /Library folder. Maybe that is the one you found when searching for it? Anyway, that is not the one you are looking for.

You can open a Finder window, open the Go menu > Go to Folder… (or use the shift + cmd + G shortcut as indicated there) and type ~/Library (‘~’ is short for ‘my home directory’). From there you should be able to navigate your way to the Presets Library folder. Or you could jump there immediately using the same way, you’ll just need to type the whole path.

Another ‘secret’ shortcut to your Library folder is opening the Finder’s Go menu and holding the option key. An entry for the Library folder should appear while you hold down that key.

Still no Moog folder under the Application Support folder when you take this route?
